POLSON — A quick update from Wednesday night’s Lake County Planning Board meeting: The public hearing on the proposed Growth Policy has been continued to Wednesday, April 18, at 6 p.m. in the large conference room of the Lake County Courthouse. At the end of Wednesday night’s meeting, the Planning Board extended the public hearing on the proposed Growth Policy to April 18.

Wednesday night before the Planning Board decided they would need more time to get through the board’s agenda, specifically the Growth Policy rewrite, the board had passed a motion by a vote of 6-4 in favor of recommending the Lake County Commissioners not repeal the Density Map and Regulations as county zoning regulations. The proposed Growth Policy still requires a recommendation by the Planning Board to be forwarded to the Lake County Commissioners, which will be the purpose of the continued public hearing on April 18.
