Polson Seniors June 27, 2018
POLSON — Writing about Clara Sipe is like writing a biography of a pioneer woman. She has completed 89 trips around the sun and she has an interesting story for every one of them. You would have to have known her from years ago to detect any sign of her slowing down.
After thirty years with the U.S. Forest Service she retired to her home on Flathead Lake. Retirement meant that she could have more time to donate to the community. Besides serving as president of the Polson Senior Center a total of six years, she has been an active board member and tireless volunteer whether it was working at pancake suppers or any number of other activities. I wrote earlier that she has taught more AARP Safe Driving Classes and more students than any other person in Montana. Come join us in honoring her at the Friday lunch on June 29.
Our center will be closed on Wednesday, the 4th of July.
The lunch menu for the coming week is:
— Wednesday, June 27: chef salad
— Thursday, June 28: pork tip gravy, noodles
— Friday, June 29: hot beef sandwich
— Monday, July 2: lasagna
— Tuesday, July 3: vegetable beef soup, cheesy bread
Vegetables and a dessert are included
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
