Mariners battle Bitterroot teams

POLSON – On Wednesday, July 11, the Mission Valley Mariners hosted the Bitterroot Red Sox in a conference double header.
In the opening game the Mariners fell 8-5. Izyk Gillingham led the team at the plate going 2-for-4 and an RBI.
The Mariners struggled at the plate and on the mound as the Red Sox outscored the Mariners 18-1 in the night cap. Eric Dolence went 1-for-2 and had a double.
On Saturday, the Mariners were on the road in Florence for a conference double header with the Bitterroot Bucs. The Bucs swept the Mariners 13-2 and 4-1.
The Mariners hit the road Thursday to Hamilton for the Class A District Tournament which runs through Sunday.
