PintPass founder, Ryan Rickert, realized a large gap in the market for conveniently finding local craft beer, getting breweries valuable feedback from beer drinkers and seamlessly sharing it with friends with the push of a button.

He’s built a community of craft beer lovers who have rallied behind the PintPass mobile app to discover craft beer, get paid real money for use at breweries, and Text-A-Beer to anyone in the country using the app’s proprietary software and patented feature. He simply built a connection between beer lovers and local breweries.

With recent expansion into all 50 states and over 5500 local craft breweries, the Montana-based company  has geared up for its version 2 launch. Starting on Aug. 15, Pintpass will release its latest version to early adopters and VIPs. Over the next 60 days the app will be released to the general public.   Until then, early sign up can be done at: www.pintpass.com.

Features of the latest version include:

A PintPass user can send anyone (PintPass user or not) a free beer; their card is debited and a value text is sent to the recipient. The recipient can then redeem a free pint of beer at any participating brewery or restaurant. PintPass then direct deposits the payment to the brewery.

A PintPass user gets paid free beer money when visiting craft breweries, in exchange for 3-4 quick questions about their experience. The user accrues the money in their PintPass account and can use it to pay their tab with the virtual MasterCard from Bento, built into the app or use the funds to text-a-beer to any contact across the country.

The PintPass app is free to download and use.
