 Spaghetti benefit helps after-school program

DAYTON — A spaghetti benefit dinner and dessert will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Idle Spur. The cost is $5 per person and $20 per family of four or more. This is a family friendly event and no alcohol will be served. There will be raffle prizes and games. This fundraiser will benefit the Dayton School’s after-school program. The PTO has secured two $5,000 grants to partially fund the program, but there is a matching provision for one of the grants. The PTO must raise $2,500 by Jan. 29, 2019, in order to receive the other $2,500, which would provide over 80 percent of the total funding needed for the program. If you have any questions or would like to donate to the After School Program or donate food items, please call 406-849-5634 or 406-360-8597 or email: daytonelementarypto@gmail.com.

Support ice arena, brewery museum

POLSON — Have you felt fall in the air? We sure have, and this means hockey and curling seasons are starting up. We were inspired to celebrate the changing of the seasons with our own take on OctoberFest. Join us for the first annual OctoberFest benefiting the MVIAA and Montana Brewery Museum on Tuesday, Oct. 30. This will be a fun-filled gathering of friends and supporters of the Mission Valley Ice Arena Association, with proceeds to be split between our organization and the Montana Brewery Museum, right here in Polson.

OctoberFest guests receive a tour of the Montana Brewery Museum, led by curator and owner Steve Lozar, a beer notes journal, a commemorative pint glass, a commemorative T-shirt, pub fare, and samples of local brews to rank and rate. This event takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Montana Brewery Museum, upstairs at: Lozar’s Total Screen Design, 40735 Highway 35. Tickets are $50 each and reservations are required as the brewery museum has a limited capacity. To make your reservations, call: MVIAA Chairperson, Hilary Lozar at 406-207-2998 by Oct. 25.
