POLSON — Polson’s NWAA jam/dance is on Sunday, March 3, from 2-5 p.m.

Guys and gals, it is time to add some new exercise to your routine. A new year brings new adventures. Please come and join us for some playing and dancing. Get those accordions out and get practicing.  We are always looking to see new accordion players and backup players.

Our accordion jams/dances are held on the first Sunday of each month in Polson, in the Elks ballroom on Main Street.

Those with accordions, guitars, banjos, violins, mandolins, etc., are all welcome to come and play. Singers who sing country or accordion type music are encouraged to come with or without an instrument. Please bring a mic and an amp if you have them. All those playing instruments do have to have their own equipment and are also encouraged to bring a mic and amp if you have them.

We especially encourage young students and young adults, who would like to get some experience on stage, to come and play with some of the more experienced accordion players. If you play, you don’t pay to get in. Everyone sings and plays in rotation.  If you feel uncomfortable playing in front of people, come, get up on stage and play alongside some of the more experienced players, in the hopes that in time you will feel more comfortable. You don’t have to have a mic in front of you unless you have one and want to use it. Come, build your confidence and enjoy the afternoon with us and bring your family along to enjoy listening and or dancing to the music.

This is a community function and you do not have to be a member of the Elks or the Accordion Association to come, play, sing, dance, listen and enjoy some really nice music.  If you like to waltz, polka, two-step, cha, cha, etc., or just want to come and listen, you are all welcome.

Admission is $2 for association members, $3 for non-members and $5 if you would like to become a member of the Northwest Accordion Association. The bar doors are closed during dancing but you are allowed to purchase drinks, soft drinks and bottled water.

We do have a great time together, so come join us.
