DIXON — Richard E. Brum, age 71, veteran, passed away on Friday, April 5th, 2019 due to cancer. He was born on March 7, 1948, in Billings, the son of William E. Brum and Eunice P. Stiverson.
Rich is survived by his five brothers and three sisters. He is also survived by his three children, Michael L. Brum of Roanoke, Texas, Cory R. Brum of Reno, Nevada, and Shyann L. Brum of Ronan, along with his five grandchildren.
Richard graduated from Billing West High School In 1967. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969 (1969-1971) where he was stationed at Rhein Main Air Force Base near Frankfurt, Germany, as part of the 71st maintenance battalion. After the Army, Rich moved back to Montana and started a family of his own. From there, Rich settled down in the small town of Dixon, where he spent the rest of his years working for Roseburg in Missoula.
Rich spent his free time hunting, fishing, hiking, sailing, working on vehicles, riding motorcycles, playing cards, drawing, and photography.
Rich was a caring father, brother, uncle, and grandpa. He will be forever cherished and greatly missed.
Services will be held at a later date.
