News from the Northwest Accordion Association
The Northwest Accordion Association has been in existence for over 35 years in Kalispell and the Mission Valley. Dances were held at the Elks in Polson and at the Eagles in Kalispell on the first and third Sunday of each month.
It was a sad day on Sunday, May 20, when we made the decision to disband the association.
Our last official jam/dance will be in Lonepine at our annual campout, on May 31 and June 1. May 31 is an informal jam from mid-afternoon to the dinner break. A potluck dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. A formal jam will take place from 7 p.m. to ? You will need to sign in to play.
On Saturday, June 1, a continental breakfast will be served from 9-11 a.m. Please bring a goodie to share. Coffee will be provided. There will be a formal jam from noon–5 p.m. and another potluck dinner at 5 p.m. Meat and dinner rolls will be provided by the association. Again, please bring something to share.
All are welcome and encouraged to come. For further information, call Ellen at 406-883-3130.
We would like to thank all the wonderful members, many who were families, that supported the association throughout the years by either holding a position, playing, singing, hauling equipment or just being there to dance and enjoy the music and friends.
