POLSON — All of us at classic country jammin’ would like to thank each and every one of you who came to our second jam on Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Elks. We had 18 musicians and 32 people who just came to dance or listen to the music. We not only had musicians from Mission Valley but also from Kalispell and a lady who played the keyboard with her son from Wyoming. Well, kind of ... they summer here and winter in Wyoming.
Oh my gosh, the music was awesome and everyone there just seemed so happy and really enjoyed themselves playing and dancing. Our musicians from Kalispell are part of another group who play the first Friday of each month at the Elks in Kalispell starting at 5 p.m. and play until around 8:30 p.m.
For those musicians who were not able to make it this time, what we did was put extra chairs adjacent to the stage so everyone who wanted to, could play back up to the person having their turn at lead. What a variety of music! You all really made our jam a wonderful day. We will be continuing to jam on the first Sunday of each month at the Elks on Main Street, in Polson, from 2-5 p.m.
