BOZEMAN — Several standout performances highlighted the trip to the State A track and field meet last week for Polson athletes. Speedster Anna DiGiallonardo sprinted to third place in the 100-meter dash (13.39) and fourth in the 200 with a time of 27.44. Lady Pirate Claudia Hewston took third in the 800-meter race in 2:24.02, and Aja Starkey won second in the 3,200-meter run in 11:51.21.
For the boys, Adam Schmidt was the high individual placer, taking fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles in 42.40. The Pirate 1,600-meter relay team of Chris Cote, Tel Motichka, Zack Camel and Travis Hayes also was fifth in that race with a time of 3:32.43.
