Linda Darlington

RONAN — Linda Darlington, 68, died on Nov. 12, 2019, with her family by her side in Ronan.

Linda was born on Sept 15, 1951, in Ronan, to Robert and Beulah Darlington.

She attended high school in Ronan and continued her education at Alaska Methodist University in Anchorage, Alaska, and Salish Kootenai College in Pablo. Her dream was to complete a degree in social work but was never able to complete it.

Linda loved horses, was very involved in 4-H and was a barrel racer when she was younger. She moved to Alaska in her 20s and worked at an outfitting lodge and cleaned dorms at AMU while she took classes. She loved to be around people and could brew a strong cup of coffee for anyone that came to visit her. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family and loved her caregivers at Mountain View Care Center.

Linda is survived by her two sons, Robert “Rowdy” Duane Snyder and James Wayne Salsbery; her four grandchildren, Moira Salsbery, age 7, Amelia  Salsbery, age 5, Sinjun Snyder age 23 and Kain Snyder age 20; her two adopted daughters, Janie Kent and Delma Conover; her brothers, Bill and Jim Darlington; and her sister, Bobbie Paulson.

Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, loving heart and compassion.

A memorial sevice will be held next spring. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Linda’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
