Helen Roullier

RONAN — Helen E. (Sell) Roullier, 93, was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Polson Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on July 9, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, the oldest of three daughters, to William and Alice Sell of eastern Montana.

The family returned to their family farm soon after. The family moved to Ronan when the girls were in grade school, and upon graduation, Helen moved to Spokane, Washington, to attend nursing school. She returned home to Montana and married Alfred Roullier. They enjoyed many years together and welcomed six children: Gail, Fred, Kathy, Steve, Rosemary and Dan. They later divorced.

Helen lived a life of devotion to her family and in service to the Lord. She worked in the medical field in Ronan for several years until a tragic car accident in 1976 necessitated a change in career. After a rigorous fight to recover, she accepted a clerical position, and continued working for the doctor’s office in Ronan until retirement.

Helen was fun-loving, light-hearted and enjoyed a good laugh. She was caring and giving to everyone. She was the glue, phone book and calendar for the whole family. She never missed an occasion to send a card with a note. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, music, but found fulfillment in service to God through her church. She smiles down upon the family now, as she finally got them all to attend a church service.

Helen is preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Emory; her son, Fred Roullier and her grandson, Cameron Roullier.

She is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Piedalue and Laura Daniels; her children, Kathy Roullier, Steve Roullier, Rosemary (Dick) Abromeit and Dan (Marlene) Roullier; her grandchildren, James Roullier, Lindsay Roullier, Libi Johnson, Shawna (Jesse) Croft, Mike Roullier, Brian (Krystal) Piedalue, Gina Roullier, Colton Roullier and Brennan Roullier; her great-grandchildren, Lucan Johnson, Kaitlynn Croft, Duran Roullier, Austin Piedalue, Blake Piedalue and Justice Zareh.

Memorial services for Helen will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ronan. Urn burial will be in the Ronan Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at: www.shriderthompson.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Shrider–Thompson Funeral Home.
