News from the Charlo-Moiese Fire Department
To all Charlo-Moiese community members and businesses as well as the rest of the Mission Valley residents and businesses: due to the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) outbreak that is spreading into Western Montana we are going to cancel our 26th annual dinner and auction that is scheduled for April 18. This is a very hard decision for us to make but it is the correct thing to do. Our event usually draws a large number of people and in order to keep the residents of the Mission Valley safe this is the best thing to do.
We will continue with selling raffle tickets and will draw for them on April 18. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20.
Raffle items: queen size quilt By Bonnie Tyro; PitBoss Pellet Smoker 1100 ProSeries; half of a hog cut and wrapped; Apple Airpods; amd Bergara Ridge 6.5 Creedmore.
At this time we are selling them at the following businesses: Charlo Grocery, Ronan Napa, and JK Town & Country Salon in Ronan. All members of the fire department have tickets as well.
We want to thank the businesses who have already donated items for the auction. It is our intent to use them for next year’s event. If businesses wish to do something different with donations already made for this year’s event please contact Fire Chief Joel Fuhrmann at 406-531-1315.
