RONAN — The road to Divisionals ended in Ronan last weekend for the Arlee Warriors at the District 14-C Tournament in Ronan. The Warriors were handed a pair of losses to Two Eagle and Noxon to end their season 8-12.
Arlee’s Christian Haynes scored 18 points in the Warriors’ loser-out match against Noxon, where the Red Devils won 58-48. Noxon outscored Arlee in the first quarter 18-5 and were led by Banks Stocking, who sank 18 and pulled down eight rebounds to eliminate the Warriors. Arlee’s Junior Sansavere added 13. As a team, the Warriors were 5-18 from the 3-point line. Noxon’s Travis Tammaro complemented Stocking’s 18 with 16 points of his own.
On Feb. 16, the Warriors faced the eventual District runner-up Two Eagle River Eagles and lost 57-44. Marcus Brown paced the Eagles with 20 points, followed by Clayton Malatare with 11 and Cole Noble adding 10. The loss to Two Eagle set up Arlee’s bye into Saturday morning’s loser-out game against Noxon. Haynes led the Warriors against the Eagles with 14 points, and Brandon Hergett pulled down 10 rebounds.
