News from CSKT Division of Fire

FLATHEAD RESERVATION – Fire officials with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes’ Division of Fire have restricted debris burning, outdoor burning, that started on July 1.

People who burned this spring should go check on their piles to make sure they are fully extinguished. “While there are no restrictions at this time, we urge people to be careful with campfires and check for restrictions before recreating in the outdoors,” Division of Fire officials state.

Wildfire season is just around the corner, be fire safe. “Do your part to prevent wildfires on the Flathead Indian Reservation,” officials state. “If you have any questions, call the CSKT Division of Fire at 676-2550.”
