Carol Anderson
POLSON — It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that the children of Carol J. Anderson announce her death on Sept. 7, 2020. Carol was born in Iowa in 1938. She moved to Montana and married Merle C. Anderson in 1959. She and Merle (Dad) worked the family farm and raised their family near Polson, all their lives. Merle and Carol had five children together; two of which preceded her in death, one daughter, Deborah, and one son, Gerald. Dad passed away in 2008. Her surviving children are: Lori, Dana and Alan (Kelly). Carol was a proud Grandma and Great-Grandma to Logan (Ciarra), Marki (Anthony), Nicole (Devin), Ryan, Peyton (Clark), Joclynn, Ari, Silas, Aspyn and soon-to-be-born, Ezra. She was also “Aunt Carol” to numerous nieces, nephews and all of their children. Mom had one surviving brother, Lloyd Iliff, out of seven siblings and one brother-in-law, Bob Brown.
Carol showered family and friends with her love by her homemade cookies, chocolate peanut clusters, hand-embroidered pillowcases, colorful quilts and crocheted afghans. Countless holidays, birthdays, marriages, and graduations were celebrated with something from Mom’s hands and heart. We will sorely miss her many gifts and tokens of love; almost as much as we will miss her.
Mom’s request was for no graveside service or funeral, but to have a get-together hosted by her children and grandchildren. Family and close friends gathered together by invitation for a meal at the family home.
