Girls Basketball

Charlo Lady Vikings

Celebrating senior night on Thursday, the Charlo Lady Vikings defeated the Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats 44-19. Carlee Fryberger led the Lady Vikings with a game-high 15 points. Connor Fryberger scored 14 points. In a district 14C road game Friday, the Lady Vikings routed the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat 60-25. Connor Fryberger scored a Lady Viking’s game-high 16 points. Kassidi Cox added 10 points.

The undefeated Lady Vikings had an offensive explosion in Saturday’s 60-16 home win over the Arlee Scarlets. Hayleigh Smith scored 15 points to lead the Lady Vikings, and Katelyn Young had 11 points.

Ronan Maidens

Posting a game-high 12 points, Areanna Burke led the Ronan Maidens to a 63-25 home win over the Libby Lady Loggers on Thursday evening. Danielle Coffman added 11 points for the Maidens.

Arlee Scarlets

On Tuesday evening, Jan. 12, the Arlee Scarlets fell 58-12 to the hosting Mission Lady Bulldogs. Princess Bolen scored half of the Scarlet’s points on Thursday evening in a 55-8 loss to the visiting Eureka Lady Lions. Raven Parson posted a team high five points on Saturday in a 60-16 road loss to the Charlo Lady Vikings.

Mission Lady Bulldogs

Madyson Currie scored 13 points as the Mission Lady Bulldogs defeated the visiting Arlee Scarlets 58-12 on Tuesday, Jan. 12. Cedar Hunt added 11 points. The Lady Bulldogs lost 51-33 to the Missoula/Loyola Breakers in Thursday’s home game. Sydney Brander scored 11 points for the Lady Bulldogs followed by Izzy Evans who added 10 points.

 

Boys Basketball

Charlo Vikings

The Charlo Vikings lost 65-43 to the Clark Fork Mountain Cats during a home game that coincided with senior night on Thursday. Roper Edwards scored 17 points, and Nathan Clark chipped in 15. On Friday evening, the Hot Springs Savage Heat slipped past the visiting Vikings in a nail biter, 55-52. Edwards posted a team high 17 points followed by Phil Marquez with 16. The Vikings earned a 49-44 home win over the Arlee Warriors on Saturday. Keaton Piedalue led Charlo with 17 points.

Polson Pirates

The Polson Pirates picked up a narrow 52-50 home win over the Frenchtown Broncs on Thursday. 

Jarrett Wilson led the Pirates with 18 points, and Darian Williams added 10. On Saturday, the Pirates moved to 4-0 on the season as they toppled the visiting Libby Loggers 58-46. Wilson paced the Pirates with 16 points followed by Xavier Fisher who added 11 points.

Ronan Chiefs

The visiting Ronan Chiefs defeated the Libby Loggers 54-43 on Thursday. On Saturday, the Chiefs moved to 4-1 on the season with a 56-40 road loss to the Frenchtown Broncs. Elijah Tonasket led the Chiefs with 11 points.

Mission Bulldogs

Playing on the road Tuesday, Jan. 12, the Mission Bulldogs beat the Arlee Warriors 80-52 in a Class B game. Ross McPherson led the Bulldogs with a game-high 17 points. John Komotios, Isaiah Nasewytewa and Zoran LaFrombois each scored 13 points for the Bulldogs. On Thursday, the Bulldogs defeated the visiting Missoula Loyola Rams in overtime 61-50. 

Arlee Warriors

In a Class B matchup, the Arlee Warriors fell 80-52 to the visiting Mission Bulldogs on Tuesday evening, Jan. 12. Micah Johnson scored 13 points, while Levi Fullerton booked 12 points. On Thursday, the team lost 59-43 to the Eureka Lions. On Saturday, the Warriors stumbled on the road in a tight 49-44 loss to the Charlo Vikings.
