News from North Lake County Public Library

POLSON — On Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. we invite all community members to join us for the first of two interactive virtual presentations to learn more about how the “All of Us Research Program” may help change the future of health. At the moment, health care is often one-size-fits all, but imagine a future where your healthcare is tailored to you. We want to make that future possible by creating a resource that allows researchers to conduct thousands of studies on health and disease. Participants must pre-register to attend. If you don’t have a Zoom account, you will need to create a log in. To register, go to: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYpd-mtpjotGtSuMOzPwwW7m02BNObcVazc  Meeting ID: 924 0058 1700 Passcode: JOIN

The Partners Sharing Group is exploring ways of increasing the availability of new materials to patrons and making hold fulfillment more efficient. Some new items may be marked for “local holds only” before becoming available to readers at all libraries. As we move through this process, we will provide an opportunity for feedback on your experience browsing the collection and placing holds.

Library hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. We are also open Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. for the vulnerable population. Curbside pickup is available for everyone from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Masks are required. Please call us at 406-883-8225 or email us at: polsoncl@polson.lib.mt.us with questions or to request curbside pickup.

The North Lake County Public Library District election for three seats on the Board of Trustees will be held on May 4, 2021. If you are interested in running for the library board, pick up a Declaration for Nomination and Oath of Candidacy form at the library or at the County Election Office. Filing closes at 5 p.m. on Feb. 8.

The library will be closed on Friday, Feb. 5, for a staff training day. We will be open again on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m.
