ST. IGNATIUS — Summer is definitely here. With the hot weather comes the bounty from our gardens and I hope you are able to enjoy fresh vegetables in your meals. We are certainly grateful to those who have sent in salad fixings and berries. Tomato harvests shouldn’t be too far off.
On our menu for the next week:
— Friday, June 25: beef goulash, rolls, veggies and dessert
— Tuesday, June 29: meat lasagna, rolls, green salad, dessert
I sent home a survey last week asking about food preferences and dislikes. Please either return these to our delivery driver or call me at the center. We really want to know.
Please remember to mark your calendar for Good Ol’ Days, especially Saturday, July 17, when we hold our big pancake breakfast at the St. Ignatius Senior Center. We would love to see you there.
We have an opening on our board of directors. If you are interested, please call our center at 406-745-4462 and let us know. Requirements are that you be a member of the St. Ignatius Senior Center and that you are able to attend board meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. There will be lots of opportunities to volunteer for our senior community, so if you are interested, please let us know.
