Marian Dunnwebber

RONAN — Marian Dunnwebber passed away at her daughter’s home on July 19, 2021, after years of declining health.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1937, in Ronan, to Charity and Roy Taber. After graduating from high school, she attended Western Montana College in Dillon where she earned her teaching degree. After graduation, she started her teaching in a small rural school just outside Fort Benton, where she met her husband, Kenneth Dunnwebber. Together, these adventurers enjoyed life while raising two children.

Marian’s passion in life was teaching. She spent summers taking classes and gathering materials to make sure her students had the best school year she could possibly give them. She took interest in each student and is remembered by many as the best teacher they had. Her legacy lives on in them.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Rick) Wickum and Marian’s grandchildren, Garrett and  Delaney Wickum. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Tusler and her brothers, Clarence Taber and Marvin Taber. Marian will also be remembered and missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and those she taught over the years.

A memorial service will be held in Ronan, at the Ronan Senior Citizens Center this coming Aug. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Montana Learning Center: Montanalearning.org
