Joni Lynn Buckman

POLSON — Our Joni was born at the Fort Belknap Agency in Harlem, Montana on May 4, 1983. At the young age of 38, our beloved Joni left our world on Aug. 7, 2021, in Benefis Hospital, Great Falls.

Born to parents Glen Johnny Buckman and Jolene Shorte Shortman, Joni Lynn Buckman was the youngest of their five beautiful children

Along with her family, she moved to Polson, at a young age. She attended school, was employed and enjoyed the beautiful Flathead Lake and surrounding area throughout her life. In her school years, she was active in sports, choir and band. She was the first freshman clarinet player to go to State, which she was proud of. She attended Salish Kootenai College in Pablo studying computer engineering. Being exceptionally bright, she was able to figure out electronic devices with ease. She loved to figure out how to fix complicated programs on devices.

Joni lived for her two beautiful children, who were the loves of her life. They are beautiful and remind us of what a wonderful, caring person she was; how she lived, laughed and loved.

She is survived by her children, Teyjah and Donovan Beeks; her parents, Glen and Jolene; her sister, Michelle Buckman; her brother, Jonas Buckman; several nephews and nieces, uncles, aunts and many cousins who will also miss her.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Sarah and Christina Buckman; her great- grandparents, Robert and Margaret Morin; her grandparents, Martin and Vera Buckman and Joseph and Birdie Shortman; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Our Joni will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021.
