ARLEE — The Arlee football team got out of a trip to Darby Friday night due to unhealthy, smoky conditions in the Bitterroot Valley, and the Tigers came to Arlee instead. The Warriors took advantage of playing on a familiar field and beat the Tigers 40-18.

“The whole team was outstanding,” head coach Mike Rogers said. “Every player came to play the game, and I am very proud of them all. It was the first time in two weeks that we finally played a complete game. It was a great win.”

Warrior Christian Haynes had nine catches for 141 yards and a touchdown, and Austin Rubel had 17 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Riley Rogers completed 14 of 21 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He also had 35 yards rushing with two touchdowns. Patrick BigSam caught four passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Arlee hosts Superior Friday night.
