POLSON — I am trying to figure out the perfect gift for those on my “out of state” Christmas list. Allow 10 days or more of shipping time to get those locally purchased gifts to them before Christmas. Not into shopping?  Give money to your local charities. Take the time and effort to create home-made Christmas cards and include a hand-written note saying that you contributed to a local charity on his or her behalf.

Update on my decorations for Christmas: the boxes are in our dining room and living room and some in the carport. I am parking the car on the street. It has been a long time since I last saw bare floors and empty shelves in the shed. It’s bigger than I remember.
