RONAN  — Brrr- It’s cold out there. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some of last summer’s heat?

Now that the holidays are over, we can all get back to our regular schedules. Our yearly dues are now due and they are $10 per person.

Don’t forget our chicken dinner will be this Thursday, Jan. 10, at 5:30 p.m.

Come on in, visit with your friends, and then join us for a great meal for only $5 per person. You don’t have to be a senior to eat here. All are welcome.

That is also the day for the veterans’ representative to be here, but we are not sure if she will be in or not. If you need to talk to her give us a call at (406)

676-2371, after 1 p.m. that day, and we’ll let you know if she’s in.

The foot clinic will be here on Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. until noon. Give us a call and we will get your name on the list.

If you need a ride to an appointment, give the Council on Aging a call at (406) 676-2368 and they will schedule a ride for you. They can also use volunteer drivers to take clients to their appointments.

The center and the COA are still collecting cans for recycling and appreciate any donations, which can be dropped off behind the center. Our menu for the week is:

• Wednesday, Jan. 9: Turkey ala King

• Thursday, Jan. 10: chicken at 5 p.m.

• Friday, Jan. 11: soup and sandwiches

• Monday, Jan. 14: liver and onions

• Wednesday, Jan. 16: ham and noodle casserole

• Friday, Jan. 18: baked fish

Our meals are served at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and cost only $4, if you are 60 years or older, and $5 if you are younger than 60 years old. Bing-o is played after lunch on Fridays and the pool table is always ready for a game. There are also a lot of books and puzzles available to borrow or keep.
