Pirates fall to Stevi, Frenchtown

The Polson Pirates struggled in two games against the Stevensville Yellowjackets and the Frenchtown Broncs last weekend.
Against Stevensville, the Pirates fell 59-35. Riley Sampson led Polson with eight points, followed by Cedric Smith and Cedric Earth Boy with six apiece. Sampson and Will Davey each grabbed nine rebounds, and Davey added three steals, an assist and a block.
In Frenchtown, the Pirates lost 58-48, despite outscoring the Broncs 19-15 in the third quarter and 15-11 in the fourth. Davey’s 11-point effort led the Pirates, and Earth Boy, Smith and Derek Peel added six points each. Sampson again pulled down nine rebounds, followed by Davey with five and Earth Boy with four. Smith added three assists.
The Polson boys travel to Eureka Friday before hosting the Columbia Falls Wildcats Saturday.
