POLSON — Pumpkins that weigh 800 up to 1,000 pounds or more? If giant pumpkins pique your interest, come listen to Emmett May. May is a local giant pumpkin grower and contest winter. He’ll be sharing information at the Polson Indian Senior Citizens Center, 701 1st Street E, on April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.
May will be discussing in-depth how these giants grow and how to get them to championship size. He has expressed a willingness and eagerness to work with anyone who’s interested, according to Brenda Richey from the MSU Flathead Reservation Extension Office. May might bring some of his seeds, Richey added.
