ST. IGNATIUS — The community response to the St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center’s call for help in replacing the dishwasher and updating kitchen facilities has been good but, the center is still a little short of what is needed for all of the kitchen work. The board and members at the center are grateful for the participation in the fund raising activities and the contributions received.
An AARP sponsored drivers training course will be held in the St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center on Thursday, May 23. The course is suited for senior citizens trying to refresh their driving skills. Persons taking the course are eligible for a state-mandated deduction in their insurance premiums. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Although the course is tailored for seniors, everyone is welcome to take it. Advanced signup is required and the class size is limited. Sign up may be accomplished at the center or by calling (406) 745-4462.
