RONAN — Summer has officially arrived. Now, if only the weather would cooperate. Wouldn’t it be nice to be relaxing on a tropical beach somewhere?
Our birthday dinner is this Friday, June 26. Come on in and join us for a great roast beef dinner and listen to wonderful music. We will raffle off our gift basket. Tickets are $1 each, or six for $5. That is also the day that we will vote for “Senior of theYear.”
We will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5 for the 4th of July holiday.
Our monthly board meeting will be held on Monday, July 8. At our annual meeting, that afternoon at 1 p.m., we will vote for new board
members. If you want to vote at either time, you need to make sure that your dues are paid for this year.
Cards were played here on Monday, the 17th, and there were 18 people present. Ruby Mocabee provided lunch. Carrie Faulkner had the high score and Bob Watson had the low score. Sharon Guenzler had the most pinochles and Ray Salomon won the door prize. They will meet here again at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 15.
Menu for the next two weeks is:
• Wednesday, June 26: chicken and dressing
• Friday, June 28: roast beef
• Monday, July 1: taco bar
• Wednesday, July 3: brunch
• Friday, July 5: we are closed
• Monday, July 8: pizza
• Wednesday, July 10: sandwiches and salads
• Thursday July 11: roast pork at 5 p.m.
• Friday, July 12: sweet and sour pork.
