POLSON — Mission Valley Christian Academy students have been doing yard work and “sprucing” up the property for Sue and Jack Dunn, Big Arm, since late May, according to Carolyn Hall, teacher at MVCA.

Jack, a private duty nurse, and spouse to MVCA fifth and sixth grade teacher Sue Dunn, was diagnosed with spindle cell neoplasm cancer and is battling for his life.

After chemotherapy and radiation in Kalispell, Jack is now in the Veteran’s Hospital in Helena.

The Dunns have decided to sell their Big Arm home, and the MCVA students have continued mowing lawns and caring for the property.

The Dunns have lived in the Mission Valley for approximately 20 years.

The MVCA community also plans a spaghetti dinner benefit for the Dunn family the third weekend of July.

For people who would like to help out with expenses, an account has been set up at Community Bank.
