Those enrolled in two-year programs must have maintained a 2.0 grade point average for one semester.
L. G. (Bill) Baertsch was born in Polson on April 13, 1926, and was raised on his mother and stepfather’s farm south of Polson at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 93. He attended Polson High School until his junior year when he joined other classmates who were enlisting to fight World War II. After his discharge, he returned to Polson and graduated with the class of 1947.
Bill went to work at the Polson post office in 1958 where he was well liked and respected by the public for his caring and helpful personality. He retired to his 80-acre farm in the Mountain View area southeast of Polson. He passed away on May 21, 1993.
