CHARLO – The Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana will be shutting its doors for the winter at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. The public is invited to tour the museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2 with the cost of admission being a can of food or a non-perishable food item. The food items will be donated to the Bread Basket Food Bank in Ronan.
Administrator Laurel Cheff reports that the 2013 season resulted in a record number of guests and gift shop sales. Recent visitors from France and Germany were grateful that the museum was open at a time when the national parks they were going to visit were closed due to the government shutdown.
Tours are available year-round for schools and other civic and community groups; call (406) 644-3435 to schedule a date and time. The museum will reopen Thursday, April 3.
