POLSON — Lessons learned in Pirate territory: if you visit us, you will fall. Try as they might, the Loggers couldn’t come up with anything solid against Polson’s domination in the 44-20 win on Friday.

Senior Andrew Weltz proved a big help to the Pirates completing six of nine passes for a touchdown and taking it to score in the glory green twice going 107 yards on 11 carries. Brady Hislop also grabbed an end zone score two times for Polson carrying 13 for 62 yards.

Coach Scott Wilson was happy with the offensive plays the Pirates put up.

“Offensively we were as balanced as we have been all year,” he said.

Defensively Mathew Rensvold and Joe Gallatin each laid down seven tackles with Gallatin logging a sack as well.

Pirates will see Havre in Polson Oct. 18.
