ARLEE —A reminder all that we have a silent auction going at the Arlee Senior Citizens’ Center, with a variety of items available for adults as well as children, and including Christmas stocking stuffers, antiques, several nice serving dishes, tea sets, embroidered pillow cases and scarf and glove sets. The silent auction will end at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, when bidding will close and the winners may claim items.
Also on Saturday, Dec. 14, the quilt auction will close at 6 p.m., during the Saturday evening meal at which time the drawing of the winning ticket for the quilt will take place
The December Foot Care Clinic will be held on Dec. 20, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This is a service provided by the Lake County Council on Aging. Donations to help defray travel expenses are appreciated.
Menus in December at our center:
Meals are provided each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon, and on the second and fourth Saturday evenings at 6 p.m.
• Wednesday, Dec. 4: Polish sausage, steamed cabbage, fried potatoes, bread, and apple crisp
• Friday, Dec. 6: clam chowder, chicken salad sandwich, relish tray, fruit, and rice pudding
• Monday, Dec. 9: Salisbury steak, potatoes, gravy, peas and carrots, buns, fruit, and birthday cake and ice cream
• Wednesday, Dec. 11: sweet and sour pork, rice, salad, fruit, buns, and cookies
• Friday, Dec. 13: vegetable beef soup, grilled cheese san, Relish tray, fruit, and rice crispy bars
• Monday, Dec. 16: chef salad w/ham, cheese, turkey, cup of soup, fruit, buns, and cookies
• Wednesday, Dec. 18: creamed turkey on biscuits, chilled tomatoes, fruit, and bread pudding
• Friday, Dec. 20: chiliburgers, tater tots, veggie and cheese tray, fruit, and brownies
• Monday, Dec. 23: oven fried chicken, rice pilaf, jell w/fruit, buns, peach-cobbler
• Wednesday, Dec. 25: Christmas Day, no meal, center closed

• Saturday, Dec. 28: roast pork, potatoes and gravy, squash, fruit, buns, spice cake
