News from Npustin and KwKwusm Theater Project

MISSOULA — “Belief” is brushing off its moccasins after a live-streamed performance in Salamanca, Spain, on Oct. 8, 2013, to bring its stories and live musical score to Missoula audiences.

The play will be staged on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. in the George and Jane Dennison Theater on the University of Montana campus.

Presented by Npustin and KwKwusm Theater Project, “Belief” stars Salish educator Julie Cajune. The performance is a unique mix of Salish women’s stories, poetry and an original score performed live.

Salish writer/poet/playwright Jennifer Finley and Cajune collaborated on “Belief.” Linda Grinde directs the play.

World flutist Gary Stroutsos, Grammy-nominated pianist David Lanz, violinist Swil Kanim and percussionist David Revelli composed the original score for “Belief” and will perform the music.

Tickets are available online via www.umt.edu/griztix/ and also at the door.
