RONAN — There are six senior citizens’ centers located in Lake County and in conjunction with the Lake County Council on Aging, we are putting together a petition to get a mil levy on the ballot in June. This mil levy will be to raise funds to allow the centers and the LCCOA to keep their doors open and therefore to continue to provide their services to the seniors of Lake County. We ask your help in getting this on the ballot for the June election, simply by signing our petition. If you are wondering about the services the centers and LCCOA provide, just give them a call and they can provide any information you need.

Now is the time to pay your membership dues for 2014. They are $10 per person and you can come in to the center and talk to either Auggie or Linda about them.

The foot clinic will be here on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 10 a.m.-noon. Give us a call at (406) 676-2371 and we will put your name on the list.

Cards will be played here on Monday, Jan. 20. They start playing at 1 p.m. and all are invited to come and join in.

We serve our noon meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Come in for a great meal and join us in the activities afterwards. We

will show movies on Mondays, have crafts on Wednesdays and play bingo on Fridays. We also have a Wii component, if you feel like playing one of the games on it.

Commodities will be out on Jan. 21, so make sure that you get in to pick your up. If you can’t make it in, call the COA at (406) 676-2367 to make other arrangements.

If you have free time on your hands, why not volunteer to be a driver for the COA? They provide transportation to area seniors for medical appointments and shopping. The COA provides the car and the gas, you just need to donate your time.

Our menu is as follows:

•  Wednesday, Jan. 15: chicken

•  Friday, Jan. 17:  pork gravy over noodles

•  Monday, Jan. 20: meatloaf

•  Wednesday, Jan. 22: sausage and sauerkraut

•  Friday, Jan. 24: fish

•  Monday, Jan. 27: tater tot casserole

•  Wednesday, Jan. 29: baked potato bar

•  Friday, Jan. 31: roast beef for our birthday dinner

And then ... we start on a whole new month and that means we are getting closer to spring. Have a great week and come in and join us.
