POLSON — It’s time for the 2014 All In Stitches Quilt Walk. Held to celebrate the store’s anniversary, this is the shop’s 14th year in business.

The quilt walk drew 14 quilted items, which are on display in stores, according to Barbara Smith, who works at All In Stitches. Quilts can be found in the Crow’s Nest Gallery, First Resort, Gull Printing, Jackie M’s Footwear, Navigator Travel, Polson Physical Therapy and Terrace Floral.

“(The quilt walk) is a way to recognize the community of quilters,” Smith said.

Co-worker Susan Hartman agreed. “It’s a way for local quilters to showcase their work.”

Quilts differ from a primarily yellow and blue star quilt in the window of Navigator Travel to a deep purple calla lily in Terrace Floral.

Community members are invited to pick up a ballot at All in Stitches, walk around and look at the quilts, select their top three favorites and return the ballot no later than Wednesday, Jan 22. Ribbons for the people’s choice quilts will be hung on Jan. 23.
