RONAN — A two vehicle wreck forced one truck off the road and stalled traffic for nearly 20 minutes on Round Butte Road.

Rocky Cote, Ronan, was attempting to turn onto Rocky Butte Road from Round Butte Road in his 1993 blue and silver Chevrolet S-10 extended cab truck.

Will Harris of Ronan was the driver of a 1993 Dodge 4x4. He was heading westbound on Round Butte Road and rear ended the Chevrolet.

“The pickup that was turning was forced off the road almost to the creek,” Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Shad Anderson said. “The other vehicle blocked traffic for 20 minutes.”

No one was seriously injured in the wreck, but both vehicles sustained significant damage and Anderson suspected that both vehicles were totaled in the wreck.

Alcohol was not a factor in the wreck, but Harris was issued a citation for reckless driving, Anderson said.

A Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy, Montana Highway Patrol, the Ronan Volunteer Fire Department and the Ronan Ambulance responded to the call.
