RONAN — Brrrrr. It’s cold out there. But, I guess that you had already noticed that. When you go outside, make sure that you (and your pets) are properly dressed for the weather.

Despite the extremely cold weather, our attendance numbers have been good, but we haven’t had many other activities going on here. I guess that, with it being so cold people just want to go home. When things warm up, we will get them going again.

Tax time is in full swing, and we still have appointments for the AARP volunteers to do them for you. Give us a call at (406) 676-2371 and we can set up an appointment for you.

Welcome back to Bill Aucus. He had gone back to Pennsylvania to sell his home, and has come back to Montana and the nicer weather.

This Thursday, Feb. 13, is our evening meal. We will be serving a great chicken dinner, and the meal starts at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend, and the cost is only $5 per person.

Friday is Valentines Day, and we will be having a ham dinner at noon. We will also have door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Bring your sweetheart (or a friend) and come on in and join us.

Thanks to Dan Roullier, at Rocky Mountain Signworks, we have three beautiful signs to put on our building. We will, of course, have to wait until warmer weather and less snow to get them up. As usual, Dan did a wonderful job, and everyone is very pleased with the signs.

Cards will be played here at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17. The foot clinic will be here on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The foot clinic is from 10 a.m. to noon, so please give us a call at (406) 676-2371 and we will get your name on the list.

The COA is always asking for volunteer drivers for the Med-cars. If you can help, give them a call at (406) 676-2368. That is also the number to use if you need a ride to an appointment or to go shopping.

Our upcoming menu is:

• Wednesday, Feb. 12 – chili dogs

• Thursday, Feb. – chicken (at 5 p.m.)

• Friday, Feb. 14 – ham

• Monday, Feb. 17 – chicken noodle and broccoli cheese soup

• Wednesday, Feb. 19 – swiss steak

• Friday, Feb, 21 – meatballs in gravy

With the exception on the $5 Thursday night meal, meals are only $4 if you are 60 years or older. You don’t have to be a “senior citizen” to eat here, and we invite everyone to join us for meals and our activities.

Have a great week, and make sure to stay safe and warm.
