RONAN – The Mission-Charlo team proved to be a force on the mats at the Western B/C Divisional Tournament, boasting a first place team score of 177.5 and three individual first place finishers. 

Jacen Peterson, after a second straight year of undefeated matches, will be returning to defend his State title. In the divisional championship round, Peterson pinned Ronny Cullis of Ronan in just 33 seconds.

Bulldogs Morgan Schultz (106) and Steven Bravo (182) also came home with top spots. Schultz pinned TJ Knoll of Arlee in 1:08 while Bravo felled Bigfork’s Vinny Quirk in 1:03.

Gregory Weatherwax (120), Jamie Mullins (126), and Trent Dennison (145) all placed second. 

Mission-Charlo will send 10 wrestlers to compete in the State all-class wrestling tournament Friday and Saturday at the Billings MetraPark.
