RONAN — Spring has arrived, almost. With just two more days of winter left, I still think we were taught in school that the seasons changed on March 21, not on March 20.
Along with spring, comes the taxman. We still have openings with the AARP tax people. Give us a call at (406) 676-2371, and we will give an appointment.
The foot clinic is on Wednesday, March 19. Jane will be here from 10 a.m. until noon. You don’t need an appointment; it is on a “first come” basis.
Wednesday is also the day of our “welcome back dinner.” We have sent out invitations to guests who haven’t been here for awhile. If you didn’t get an invite, please come in and join us anyway. We will be having a great chicken dinner, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Since I am retiring at the end of April, we thought we had better get busy and find someone to take my place. We have hired Andrea Lohf and she will start learning the ropes on April 1.
On April 2 we will have a “crazy hat day.” So dig around your closet, or anywhere else, and find an old hat and decorate it to your heart’s content. We will have a grand prizewinner, and first and second place runner-ups. We have never done this before and it should be interesting to see how it turns out.
Ladies, don’t forget that the COA ladies luncheon is coming up in May. It will be on the Saturday before Mother’s Day and you need to reserve your tickets ($10 each) before hand, as there will not be any sold at the door. Call (406) 676-2367 to reserve your tickets. This is always such a wonderful get together, as the ladies in the COA office put a lot of time and effort into it.
Our menu for the rest of March is:
• Wednesday, March 19: chicken
• Friday, March 21: soup and sandwiches
• Monday, March 24: sausage gravy and biscuits
• Wednesday, March 26: Brunswick stew
• Friday, March 28: roast beef
• Monday, March 31: liver and onions
Have a great week and go out and look at our beautiful mountains and be “glad” the snow is up there.
