POLSON —Will the real Otis Peckinpod please come forward.  A person of interest was located but no amount of harsh interrogation methods or threat of waterboarding could make him crack. But a donut and a cup of coffee were waved in front of his face and he folded. Almost. What was learned was that he was the author of “The Underside of the Mountain.” The matter will be more fully explored; we have more donuts and we have the Internet.

Our tax preparers will be in Polson on Thursdays only, from now on.

Call for an appointment.

The AARP driving classes will resume on April 22. They begin at  9 a.m., break for lunch and finish after. Come before 9 a.m. and be ready by class time. Call (406) 883-4735 to be added to the list.

Friday night bingo has been having a good turnout. Remember, there is a $100 blackout game. The fun begins at 7 p.m. Come join in.

Our exercise group meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Frani Basta has not been bowling since her hip surgery and recent auto accident but she continues to show up and do secretary duties for the Tuesday afternoon senior bowling league. She has done this for the past 12 years. They are such a happy bunch and their scores were: high scratch series – Larry Alter 678; high handicap series – Larry Lawin 743; high handicap series – Ray Theiler 732, Jack Adamson 706; high games – Don Young 251, Ray Theiler 244, Larry Alter 243, Chris Alter 242, Roger Rasmussen 240, Jack Adamson 225, Keith Ross 218, Larry Lawin 217, and Brenda Williams 201.

“Vegetarian” is an old Indian word for “bad hunter.”
