News from the Lake County HiSET Center
PABLO — Please review the following information regarding testing requirements if you are interested in testing and receiving your high school equivalency diploma:
• You cannot be currently enrolled in school or have received an accredited high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma.
• Minimum ages for testing are 17 and 18 years old. A waiver is required for a 16-year-old to test.
• You must physically reside in Montana and have a Montana mailing address.
• Applications must be completed online at www.hiset.ets.org.
• Applicants ages 16-18 will be required to apply at a local testing center. The Lake County HiSET Center is located in the Late Louie Caye Memorial Building #66 on the Salish Kootenai College Campus in Pablo.
• A photo ID must be presented to an examiner on testing day.
• HiSET fees are $50 and must be paid at the time of registration online by credit card, Paypal or debit card.
• Candidates can take two free retakes in one calendar year. The Salish Kootenai College HiSET Center will charge $15 for administration fees.
• If you have previously passed GED scores you may combine these scores only through December 31, 2014. January 1, 2015, the previous passed GED scores will not be valid. Test takers who have not passed the GED will need to retest in their lowest area of the GED test.
