News from the Ronan Library District

RONAN — Thanks to the support of community members in the Ronan Library District, beginning April 1, Ronan Library District will be expanding their hours open to the public. The new hours will be Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The library will be closed Sundays and all legal holidays.

Libraries are ever changing worlds, and if you have not been to the library lately, we would love for you to stop by, say hello and see how the library has changed over the years. The Ronan Library offers a huge variety of services. Did you know we offer one-on-one technology assistance? We can help you learn about computers, software, e-readers, cell phones, tablets, you name it and we will do our best to help you out, just call the Library and “Book-A-Tech.” The library also has 11 public computers (all with printing capabilities), including one specifically for children. Did you know you can use your library card to download audio and e-books to a multitude of devices? We even have free Wi-Fi, so you can use your own devices at the library, or even outside on the sidewalk.

The library also has a weekly children’s story time and craft activities every Thursday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. We have an awesome Family Summer Reading Program that will begin on June 9 this year.

The Friends of the Ronan Library will be hosting author events in April, May, September and October. April 10, author Craig Lancaster will be reading from and discussing his book, “Edward Adrift,” which you can check out from the library.

You can find books, newspapers, magazines, movies, tax papers, encyclopedias and more at the library. If we don’t have what you are looking for, we will do our best to find it. The library is always open to suggestions about how we can better serve our community. Remember, we are here for you.

To celebrate all the new, wonderful happenings at the Ronan Library, we will be having an open house event on Wednesday, April 16. Join us for goodies and beverages and see what the Library can do for you.
