RONAN — Elias Marmon, 25, was in a devastating construction accident last fall that left him paralyzed. Elias returned home to his family in Ronan this past weekend.

The Marmon family has spent months traveling to Billings and Denver to be with Elias and learn about his rehab routines and how best to care for him at home. Although workman’s comp is covering some of their expenses and providing a handicap accessible addition to their home, they still have numerous additional expenses.

A benefit to help the Marmon family will be held Friday, April 11 at Willard’s Bar in Ronan. The event includes a barbecue dinner donated by Ronan Volunteer Fire Department, salads and dinnerware provoded by Harvest Foods and Valley Bank, beer donated by Willard’s and music provided by K.C. and the Valley Kats. The fundraising event begins at 6 p.m.

To raise money, people are asked to drop off “white elephant” gifts in advance at Willard’s, along with donations of wrapping paper. A wrapping party will take place April 8 at Willard’s. The wrapped white elephant gifts will be sold for $5 each during the April 11 event, with a mass unwrapping party at 9 p.m.  For more information, or to volunteer or support in any way, call Julie at (406) 676-2655.
