RONAN — This has been one of those days that is so busy that I don’t know if I’m here or I’m there.

We are putting new flooring in the kitchen and the pantry, and everything has to be moved out. I didn’t know that such small rooms could hold so much. We owe a special thanks to the family from Hot Springs (we didn’t get their names) who helped us clean out the pantry, and to Rick Clary and his crew from the Job Corps for coming in and moving all of the large, heavy stuff. And thanks to Alex, from Discount Carpet for laying the flooring for us.

We had a wonderful turn out for our “Crazy Hat Day,” and had three winners. Dick Tougas won the men’s division, Avis Story won the funniest; and Marilyn Jennison and Kay Schnase tied for the prettiest hats.

Our Thursday evening meal is this week, and we will serve chicken.

The cost is only $5 per person and we start serving at 5 p.m.

The foot clinic is on Wednesday, April 15, and cards will be played here at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 21.

Our Easter dinner is on Wednesday, April 15, and we will having pork chops. A little different from the usual Easter dinner, but that’s what happens when you forget things while making out the menu.

The “Ladies Luncheon” is fast approaching. It will be held on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, May 10, and you need to purchase your tickets before May 1. Call the COA (406) 676-2367, to purchase the tickets or to get more information.

Our menu for the next week is:

•  Wednesday April 9: ham

•  Thursday, April 10: chicken at 5 p.m.

•  Friday, April 11: calico beans and clam chowder

•  Monday, April 14: barbecued meatballs

•  Wednesday, April 15: pork chops

•  Friday, April 17: salad bar

Come on in and join us for a great meal and to visit with your friends. We serve meals at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The cost is only $4 if you are 60 years or older and $5 if you are younger than 60.

Have a great week, and enjoy the great spring weather.
