ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center is seeking donations for a silent auction. The auction will end during the dinner honoring Mother’s Day on Wednesday, May 7, at 5:30 p.m. The income from the auction will go toward the purchase of a new kitchen stove. The recent rummage sale at the center was a success raising several hundred dollars. A bake sale for the same purpose will be held on Friday, May 9.
Bankers Life Insurance Company will conduct an informational session in the center on the evening of Wednesday, May 21. Financial issues and aging will be topics of the session. The center will provide an additional meal in April because of meals missed due to inclement weather. The make-up meal will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at noon.
Activities at the center for the rest of April:
• Lunches begin at noon.
• Quilters quilt in the center on Mondays and Thursdays.
• Wednesday, April 16: Easter ham dinner, 5:30 p.m.
• Friday, April 18: fish loaf lunch
• Tuesday, April 22: beef casserole lunch
• Friday, April 25: pasta and burger casserole lunch
• Tuesday, April 29: soup and sandwiches lunch
• Wednesday, April 30: make up lunch
• Bingo is played after almost every lunch.
