RONAN — Another beautiful day in paradise, what more could we ask for? We grumble a lot about Montana weather, but in reality, it is a lot better here than in most other places.

It’s hard to believe that May is almost here. Last Friday we had 74 people join us for the April birthday dinner, and we enjoyed wonderful music provided by Liz Steele and Dick Tobel. It was a great meal and we are grateful to our cooks for always doing such a wonderful job.

For the sixth year in a row, Willard’s Bar will have a “Starving Artist” show, with the proceeds to benefit an organization in Ronan. This year, the Mission Valley Senior Citizens were selected to receive the money. The show will be on Saturday, May 3, from noon until midnight. They will have a silent auction until 7 p.m., and an artist’s reception from 5-7 p.m. Willard’s Bar, (for those who don’t know), is located at 325 Main Street SW in Ronan. We hope to see you there.

The COA Ladies Luncheon is fast approaching, but there are a few days left to purchase a $10 ticket. Call (406) 676-2367 by May 1.

Our monthly Board meeting is at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 5.

Our Thursday evening meal will be on May 8, and we serve pork roast. The cost of this meal is $5 per person and we start serving at5 p.m.

We will be having an AARP Safe Driving Course, (formally 55-Alive),

on Thursday, May15. If you want to sign up for this class, give us a call at (406) 676-2371 and we will get you signed up.

Cards will be played here at 7 p.m., on Monday, May 19, and the Foot Clinic is from 10 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, May 21.

Our birthday dinner for May will be on May 31.

Friday, May 2: fish

Monday, May 5: porcupine meatball

Wednesday, May7: ham and noodle casserole

Thursday, May 8: pork roast at 5 p.m.,

Wednesday, April 30, is my last day working at the center. Come on in and join us for my retirement party and to meet Andrea as she starts the position of nutrition director.
