LAKE COUNTY — Three Lake County irrigation districts saw the election of four commissioners on May 6.
Each irrigation district member receives one vote for each acre or partial acre of land, so someone with 500 acres would count as 500 votes.
Election results were not finalized as of Monday morning, but preliminary results projected Paul Guenzler as the winner in the race for the Division 3 seat on the Flathead Irrigation District. Guenzler received 27,548 votes. His opponent, Bryan Bohn received 23,984 votes.
In the Flathead Irrigation District’s Division 5 race Bruce White beat opponent Jim Baker. The men received 33,095 votes and 16,411 votes respectively.
John Trimble was victorious in the race for a seat in the Jocko Irrigation District. Trimble received 2,625 votes, while his opponent Roger Christopher received 1,792.
Gene Posivio beat Claudia McCready in the Mission Irrigation District. Posivio received 5,479 votes to McCready’s 4,454.
All elected will serve a three-year term.
