RONAN — Well it looks like spring has finally arrived. The weather is great and the flowers are blooming. The strange thing is that in St. Ignatius and Polson, the lilacs are blooming, but not in Pablo. Anybody have a reason?

Despite what the menu says for Monday, May 26, the center will be closed for Memorial Day. Andrea is now doing the menu and our holidays are just one of the many things that I forgot to mention.

The foot clinic has been rescheduled and will now be on May 28 at the same time and the same place. The birthday dinner is on Friday, May 31, and will be here before we know it.

Our menu for the rest of the month is:

•  Wednesday, May 21: cheesy tuna bake

•  Friday, May 23: four varieties of home made pizza

•  Monday, May 28: Swiss steak

•  Wednesday, May 28: sweet and sour pork over rice

•  Friday, May 29, is our birthday dinner and we will serve roast beef.

Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday, June 3, and please vote yes on the initiative to raise money to support your local Senior Citizens Center.

There are six senior centers in Lake County, along with Lake County Council on Aging and the Area VI Agency on Aging. They will all benefit from this mil levy. These agencies all provide vital services to the senior citizens of Lake County and are all relying on the monies this will provide.

Have a great week and enjoy the weather. After all, winter could be back next week.
