POLSON — Oh my, gotta get this done. I seem to have lost a day.

Menu for the week:

•  Lunch is served every day, Monday thru Friday from 11:45 a.m.– 12:30 p.m.

•  Thursday, May 22: barbecue ribs with whipped potatoes

•  Friday, May 23: Reuben casserole

• Monday, May 26:  closed  Memorial Day  •  •  •  Tuesday, May 27: goulash with French bread

•  Wednesday, May 28: baked chicken

•  All meals come with a vegetable and a dessert.

Plan ahead for the hearing clinic on May 27.

Friday night bingo is gaining in popularity with games beginning at 7 p.m. Again, our regular staff would surely appreciate it if anyone would be willing to help at the games, be it calling, selling cards or serving refreshments.

It is about that time of year again, when we start planning our gardens and what veggies look good to us this year. If you have a little extra room or maybe a whole row and don’t know what to do with it, plant some extra vegetables and donate them to the center. We will either make good use of them in the kitchen or put them out for the seniors to take. We really appreciate fresh veggies and thank you all in advance.

Our regular meal delivery volunteers will be gone for a few weeks at a time this summer. We would really appreciate it if someone would step forward to help out. It’s not rocket science. Volunteers don’t necessarily have the time; they have the heart.

Why do croutons come in airtight packages? Aren’t they just stale bread to begin with?

Have a good week.
